March at Tripp!
As co-hosts of the 2014 Bald Eagle Watching Days, our presentions on Saturday, January 18 at the Tripp on Old Abe the Civil War mascot (Frank LaCour) & Eagle Conservation (Pat Manthey) were well attended - standing room only! We're retooling in February & March, setting up some new exhibits, including hands-on acitivities for children in the upstairs gallery. The 5000-7000 year old Bradford Bison found near the Prairie du Sac hydroelectric dam by young Josh Bradford is always on permanent display in the Mueller Gallery (first floor), as a focal point of our riverway history. And the 100 year old Ochsner mounted specimens (mostly local area birds) on the second floor are a sight to behold, to go along with Bald Eagle viewing along the Wisconsin River.
